On Wednesday afternoon, Marie-Claude Savard, Mario Tessier and Sébastien Trudel, the three co-hosts of Ça retour au poste, were arguably very excited at the idea of interviewing a rock legend, the singer, live on radio Kiss bassist Gene Simmons.

Unfortunately, it didn’t fit the post at all!
The trio could never befriend the grumpy rocker, so the interview, which was supposed to last ten minutes, had to be cut almost in half because the grumpy musician ended up hanging up with the hosts with “Fuck This!”
Sébastien Trudel posted the scene on TikTok and we have to admit that Savard, Tessier and he had a painful time.
Things started well in the first part of the interview, which served to set the table for Kiss’ upcoming shows on Quebec soil.
Simmons had boasted that he knew three words in French (“ménage à trois”), causing hilarity.
However, when he realized that the presenters would translate his remarks after each of his responses (because the interview was being broadcast live), the 73-year-old singer became disillusioned.
Simmons claimed to be very busy and was very upset that he had to wait a few moments while Tessier translated his remarks into French for the benefit of the French-speaking Quebec audience.
He practically stopped working at that exact moment.

In the second part of the interview, he’s downright adamant, uncomfortable, and argumentative.
“I would suggest that you learn how to do interviews because it was very unprofessional,” he says at one point, before again berating the hosts for having to translate his answers.
Annoyed, Mario Tessier replied: “That’s French! You’re coming to Montreal, you’re coming to Quebec, where most people speak French!”, which doesn’t make the one wearing the demon’s makeup in the group happy.
He then begins with a lame metaphor about watching a foreign film with no subtitles, then ends up hanging up the line on the trio of hosts and saying “Fuck This!”.
In shock, Savard, Tessier and Trudel just couldn’t believe it.
And neither do we…
