Kodak Black wanted by Florida police for violating his bail conditions and failing a drug test

  • Kodak Black has issued an arrest warrant for a drug policy violation
  • The rapper was originally arrested in July last year for possessing and trafficking a controlled substance without a prescription
  • He is also being sued by two men who were “seriously injured” in a shooting last year that Kodak allegedly “escalated”.

Kodak Black is currently wanted by Florida police for violating the terms of his bail and failing a drug test.

According to TMZ, a judge signed an arrest warrant for 25-year-old Kodak on Thursday, and the rapper is set to be taken into custody if MPs come across him.

The warrant was filed following two missteps by Kodak in recent weeks, which was also recently sued by two shooting victims.

At the beginning of February he did not show up at the authorities he was supposed to report to for a drug test.

The agency then claimed that he submitted a sample the following week, but they came back and confirmed he had drugs in his system.

It was reported to test positive for trace amounts of fentanyl, although it’s unclear how much was in his system.

Kodak was originally arrested in July last year for possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and trafficking.

Cops also revealed they left more than 31 oxycodone pills in his car in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

He posted his $75,000 bail but was released on the condition that he remain drug-free.

If he is caught, there are additional orders to hold him without bail until his next hearing.

Kodak was also recently embroiled in another lawsuit after being sued a year after a shooting outside of Justin Bieber’s Super Bowl afterparty.

Both the rapper and Bieber were sued by two victims of the February 12, 2022 shooting.

Mark Schaefer and Adam Rahman claimed they were hit during the Super Bowl weekend shooting and were “severely injured” as a result.

The incident happened right outside The Nice Guy restaurant in West Hollywood, where Bieber was hosting a Super Bowl afterparty.

Four victims were reported to have been shot, including Kodak.

However, the alleged victims, who sued the performers, claimed Kodak played an important role in escalating the fight outside the establishment.

An unknown assailant reportedly attacked one of Kodak’s group, prompting him to engage in a scuffle to protect his friend.

TMZ reported that the two victims claimed in the lawsuit documents that the rapper “escalated” the fight, which resulted in shots being fired.

Kodak representative Bradford Cohen commented on the lawsuit, telling TMZ: “I’ve seen a lot of bad complaints in my day. This is the worst worded complaint I have seen in 26 years.’

He added, “I expect Kodak to be released from this lawsuit fairly quickly.”

Cohen also stated that “there is no specificity” and that victims’ representative Gloria Allred “lumps the defendants together rather than making specific allegations against each”.

Kodak’s representative concluded, “It’s Law School 101. I’m embarrassed for Ms. Allred that she actually signed this complaint with her name.”
