Kristen Stewart drives Dylan Meyer to a friend’s house in LA… before the fiancé’s birthday

Following her Oscar-nominated portrayal of Princess Diana in the critically acclaimed Spencer, Kristen Stewart will step behind the camera for her feature-length directorial debut in The Chronology of Water.

But on Saturday, the Twilight actress enjoyed a little downtime as she headed to a friend’s Los Angeles home with fiancé Dylan Meyer.

The afternoon excursion takes place the day before Meyer’s 35th birthday on Sunday, December 4th.

The pair were seen driving through the suburbs in a Dodge van just before arriving at their destination.

Stewart, 32, was seen behind the wheel, smoking a cigarette while keeping an eye on the road so they didn’t miss her boyfriend’s house.

Meyer, who was in the passenger seat, appeared to be in high spirits, which was evident from the big beaming smile on her face as we drove.

On the day, Stewart opted for a casual and sporty look in the fashion department, dressed in black Adidas sweatpants and a black sports bra covered by a matching hoodie.

She also wore a pair of white Nike trainers and stylish sunglasses for the ride to brave the bright sun as the temperature hit the upper 60 degrees Fahrenheit.

To complete her look, the Los Angeles native had her normally blonde tresses dyed a striking dark brown and styled just above her ears in a slightly messy look.

The soon-to-be-birthday girl appeared to be in a more casual mode too, dressed sporty with her blonde tresses flowing long and straight with a center parting.

She, too, felt the need to wear sunglasses for the trip to her pal’s house, where they may have decided to celebrate Meyer’s birthday.

Meyer and Stewart met on a movie set in 2013 but didn’t get back together until 2019 when they got back together.

They got engaged last year but have yet to go public with their plans for the ceremony and party.

Back in April, Meyer, who is best known for writing the screenplay for the 2021 film Moxie, shared some sweet sentiments for Stewart’s 32nd birthday.

“One more around the sun and you’re out here getting flyers every year,” Meyer gushed in the caption of a photo showing the lovebirds kissing as the birthday cake is presented. “Time suits you, old man. You know how they say in the toons, “Awooga.”‘

Most recently, Stewart worked on the career front on the film adaptation of Lidia Yuknavitch’s memoir The Chronology Of Water, which charted on the New York Times Best Seller list upon its release in 2010.

According to Deadline, the memoir is a “lyrical journey through a life saved by art” and focuses on a young woman who “finds her voice through the written word and her redemption as a swimmer — and eventually a triumphant teacher, mother and becomes a… unique modern writer.

Stewart co-wrote the screenplay with Andy Mingo, while British actress Imogen Poots was cast as Yuknavitch in the story of her tumultuous life.

The upcoming movie, which has been in the works for more than five years, is something of a passion project for the actress-turned-filmmaker.

So far, there is no official word on when the film will premiere.
