Advertisement for Rio The 40yearold lawyer Silvia de Oliveira Martins was buried this Monday afternoon (18) at the Jardim da Saudade cemetery, in Paciência, in the western zone of Rio. Silvia, the lawyer of the singer MC Poze do Rodo, suffered complications after undergoing HD liposuction in a clinic in Laranjeiras, in the South Zone.

Emotionally, the lawyer’s son, Pedro Caio, paid several tributes on the Instagram platform, where his mother was active and had more than 50,000 followers. “09/17/23, the day my life, my happiness, my world left me. Mom, I only had you, it was always me and you. We starved together, we fought together, we worked together and it was always just us.” Second: “What comforts me is knowing that I was with you until the end “that I never let you down and that you never let me down,” he posted on Sunday.

In conversation with the DAYMariza Dias, Silvia’s friend, said she suspected possible errors in the procedure carried out by doctor Geysa Leal Corrêa.

“For a while, [Silvia] A buttock transplant was performed and the substance PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) was probably used, which cannot be removed by liposuction. Once this product is aspirated, it can enter the bloodstream. Thromboembolism one day after surgery is not common. I think the operation was overdone. There are limits to how much fat can be removed from a body during surgery. “She was busy with it for a long time,” explains the beautician, who works in postoperative care.

According to people close to Silvia, the case was registered at the 35th DP (Campos Grande). O DAY Tried to contact Geysa but hasn’t received a response yet. The space remains open to any manifestation.

MPRJ Complaint

Doctor Geysa Corrêa was the subject of a complaint from the Rio Public Ministry (MPRJ) over the death of 41yearold educator Adriana Capitão Pinto, which occurred after an aesthetic procedure at a clinic in Niterói in 2018.

According to the examinations, the operation went smoothly and swelling was noted on the patient’s legs. But according to the doctor it was a natural consequence. Six days later, Adriana began complaining of shortness of breath, fainted, and died. The autopsy confirmed that the procedure was the cause of death.

According to the MPRJ, the doctor at the time was a specialist in otolaryngology and was not sufficiently qualified to perform aesthetic procedures because he performed the procedure in a place without hygienic conditions and without postoperative care.

In addition to this complaint, Geysa is responding in civil jurisdiction to 11 cases before the Rio Court of Justice (TJRJ). In the criminal area, the doctor is sued for bodily harm.

The Federal Council of Medicine (CFM) and the Regional Council of Medicine of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Cremerj) have not yet commented on the case when contacted.
