He became the second player in NBA history to reach this milestone. He only needed to collect 11 points in Sunday night’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers.

The only player before him is the legendary Kareem Abjul-Jabbar, who scored 38,387 points in 1,560 games with the Milwaukee Bucks and the Lakers between 1970 and 1989. For his part, 38-year-old James has 1,399 games under his belt and averaged an impressive 27.17 points per game.

The third step of the podium goes to Karl Malone, who has 36,928 points in 1,476 games.
