The body of a man was found lifeless on a third-tier dirt road in Saint-Prime last Monday.
The Sûreté du Québec confirmed the discovery of the body on Thursday, even though it was a few days ago.
Last Monday at around 2:30 p.m., police were called to intervene in a section of the 3rd tier in Saint-Prime to rescue a lifeless man who was found on a dirt road near a wooded area.
He is a local citizen, 36 years old. His identity was not known at the time of writing.
Investigators and forensic identification technicians attended the scene to determine the causes and circumstances of the death. An autopsy was also requested.
The death is considered suspicious. Very few details have been revealed so far so as not to compromise the investigation. According to TVA Nouvelles, the man was found almost completely undressed and facial injuries were observed. However, this information has not been confirmed by the Sûreté du Québec.
The investigation is ongoing.
“We are currently examining whether there is any evidence that could lead us to believe that this was a crime or not.” But at this point he is still considered a suspect. We cannot confirm any hypotheses,” said Nancy Fournier, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.
