A man faces a federal investigation in the United States after assaulting a flight attendant while returning the plane to the airport four hours after takeoff. The fight between the two would have started after the attacker tried to change from economy to business class because the passenger on his side was constantly farting and the strong smell bothered him too much..
The case happened in January this year at Miami International Airport. The flight was to London and almost every seat was taken. Passenger Becon, who had a seat in the cheapest class, was very uncomfortable with the strong stench of his neighbor’s flatulence and found a seat in business class, where he stayed.
A flight attendant spotted the maneuver and went to the passenger to question the change.. The inconvenience was so great that at that moment the passenger was ready to upgrade to business class, but was informed that this was no longer possible.
After that, a fight started between the two.. Becon is said to have insulted the professional with vulgar language and also spit in his face. According to a flight attendant who also worked on the flight, “Becon began walking to the rear of the plane, toward the back row, and yelled obscenities at the rest of the flight crew in the galley. Then he sat down in an economy seat,” the statement claims.
When the plane’s pilot was briefed on what was happening, he diverted and returned to the airport four hours after boarding.
