Nostalgic mood is in the air. Actress Angela Leal (74) published a photo of her reunion with Angelo Antônio (57). The pair played Maria Bruaca and the pawn Alcides in the first installment of Pantanal, roles now owned by Isabel Teixeira, 48, and Juliano Cazarré, 41.
Fans and colleagues expressed their admiration for the reunion. Actress Ingra Lyberato, who played Madeleine in the first phase of the Rede Manchete series, left a comment with several heart emojis. Isabel Teixeira explained:
“All my admiration, respect and love for you both.”
In the novel’s plot, Maria Bruaca discovers that her husband Tenório (formerly played by Antonio Petrin, now played by Murilo Benício) has another family in São Paulo. From there she begins to rebel and explore life, eventually falling in love with Alcides.
