Earlier this week, Carey released a surprise music video for her holiday hit “All I Want For Christmas (Festive Lambs Edition)” on Thursday.

The video notably featured appearances from her twins Monroe and Moroccan (12) as well as Flowers hitmaker Miley Cyrus.

Speaking to GMA, she also reflected on the song's legacy and reminisced about the creation of the track.

“I was working on it alone… on this little Casio keyboard, writing down words and thinking, 'What am I thinking about at Christmas? What do I love? What I want? “What am I dreaming about?”’ she explained. “And that’s where it all started.”

“My goal was to make something timeless so it didn't feel like the '90s when I wrote it.”
