Mark by Patrick Roy: Marc-André Fleury has to wait

Marc-André Fleury is seeking his 552nd career win, which would allow him to pass Patrick Roy for second in history, but the Stars took great pleasure in spoiling goaltending night on Monday at the Xcel Energy Center.

The visitors won 4-0, with Matthew Murray keeping a clean sheet for the first time in his career. The Stars needed just 20 shots to win, taking advantage of the local favorite's defense.

Rookie defenseman Brock Faber has been impressive since his debut, but he hasn't been flawless either. During a power play in the first period, veteran Tyler Seguin pranked him by stealing the puck near Fleury's net. The pivot found Roope Hintz, who beat the Quebecer at the top.

It was the first of two shorthanded goals for the Stars. The Dallas team scored as many goals in their first meeting this season on November 12th. Radek Faksa once again stood out from a man down by scoring the second goal on a two-on-one run.

Murray made 23 saves for the shutout. Seguin and Jason Robertson were the other scorers for Dallas.

It is not certain when Fleury, author of 16 saves – some of which were spectacular – will have another chance to beat Roy. The Wild will face the Stars again on Wednesday, but head coach John Hynes might be tempted to start Filip Gustavsson, who is recovering from an injury. His third option is young Jesper Wallstedt, who has not yet made his National League debut.
