Marrone, 57, gave fans a scare when he showed up at the hospital on Tuesday night (20). The singer of the duo with Bruno had to be hospitalized in São Paulo after an esophagitis crisis and reassured followers about his condition.
The singer himself explained what he took to the hospital and, after an endoscopy, was diagnosed: “Everything with you? Look where I am, I’m at São Luiz Hospital in São Paulo. I had an endoscopy, really boring, right? But thank God everything is fine. I had a lot of burning, a lot of heartburn and I had esophagitis.”
Marrone appeared in a good mood, which left the duo’s fans unconcerned. However, he did not give details about the medical discharge and whether it affected his concert schedule.
Esophagitis is a relatively common condition affecting millions of people each year. It is not serious and the symptoms usually go away with the right treatment. Inflammation in the esophagus can have numerous causes, such as alcohol consumption, cigarettes, excessive vomiting and others.
