Just days before the superhero sequel The Marvels hits theaters, Marvel Studios has released one final trailer that contains quite a surprise: Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie.
Thompson, 40, made her Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) debut as Valkyrie in 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok and reprized the role in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame and 2022’s Thor: Love and Thunder.
Her appearance in The Marvels, which hits theaters November 10, had not yet been confirmed. However, this new trailer shows Valkyrie offering some sage advice for Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel: “You can stand tall without standing alone.”
The film – a sequel to Marvel’s 2019 billion-dollar blockbuster “Captain Marvel” – brings back Brie Larson as Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel, along with Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau from the 2021 TV series “WandaVision” and Kamala Khan from Iman Vellani from the 2022 TV series Ms. Marvel.
They must all band together and use their considerable powers to defeat a new Thanos-like threat: Dar-Benn (Zawe Ashton).

The trailer begins with flashbacks of Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Captain America (Chris Evans) as Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) says, “Heroes, that’s an old-fashioned idea.”
“But the world could still use them,” Fury adds, as we see flashbacks of the two-eyed Nick Fury with Carol and a shot of Iron Man and Captain America saying, “Whatever it takes.”
Carol adds, “We destroyed Thanos, but it’s not over yet,” as we see a brief flashback in which Thanos says, “My work is inevitable.” “There will always be more to finish it.” , as we cut to a shot of the villainous Dar-Ben.
“This is just the beginning,” Dar-Benn tells her followers as she activates a violet beam that creates a rift between our universe and many others.
“She tore a hole in space!” “Another reality invades ours,” explains Monica as Carol flies into space.
“What are you ready for?” Nick asks Carol, who replies, “I’m invincible,” despite having seen her fight Dar-Benn, who says, “Your powers only make me stronger.”
Fury adds, “She is unmatched, she cannot be controlled,” while a title card teases, “Be there for the moment that changes everything.”
Fury is heard saying, “I ask for one last stand,” while Dar-Benn says, “You cannot protect your people,” while Valkyrie tells Carol, “You can stand tall without standing alone.”

While Monica is nervous, Nick simply screams “Black Girl Magic” and Monica flies into the sky as the trailer comes to an end.
The arrival of Valkyrie could potentially add more credence to the rumors that Marvel could be preparing an A-Force movie.
The A-Force in Marvel Comics was an all-female Avengers team that debuted in Marvel’s 2015 crossover event Secret Wars.
