authorities of Mexico arrested 15 Cuban under almost 700 migrants is located in two plants in the state of Puebla.
“In two migration verification actions, the National Institute of Migration (INM) in Puebla, in collaboration with the Minister of Defense, the National Guard, the State Police and the Attorney General of the Republic, identified 688 illegal aliens: 567 by car Hotel Parador El Conde. 121 on a bus on the Orizaba-Puebla highway,” INM reported on Twitter this Saturday.
The company also said in a statement that the migrants detained for irregular transit through Mexican territory came from different countries, and 150 minors were found among them.
The note explains that when the migrants’ nationalities were confirmed, it was found that 514 of them were from Guatemala, 79 from Honduras, 40 from Nicaragua, 37 from El Salvador, 15 from Cuba and three from Ecuador.
Most of these detainees were found in a hotel known as the Conde del Aparador on the Puebla-Santa Ana Chiautempan state road.
567 migrants were found there, 32 girls and 78 boys; in addition to 92 females and 365 adult males. From Cuba 14, from Ecuador three; El Salvador 35, Honduras 40 and Guatemala 475.
Four people arrested in that operation were made available to the Mexican Attorney General’s Office (FGR) for the alleged crime of human trafficking, in addition to securing property and two articulated lorries.

The INM counted 22 boys and 18 girls as well as 25 women and 56 adult men at this operation; In addition, the driver continued to be available to FGR.
In both cases, the unaccompanied minors and family nuclei remained under the care of Puebla State’s System for the Integral Development of the Family (DIF), while the adults were transferred to the Institute’s facilities to continue their immigration management process.
The INM also reaffirmed its support for its commitment to safe, orderly and regular migration, with full respect for the rights of persons traveling through national territory.
Beginning of August, Mexican authorities also arrested 116 migrants in Puebla state, including 91 Cubanswhile being transported in a truck in crowded conditions.
In addition to Cubans, who made up the majority, citizens of Nicaragua (16), El Salvador (4), Honduras (3), Venezuela (1) and Panama (1) also traveled in the group.
Despite the arrests in Mexican territory, arrivals of Cubans across the southern land border of the United States have remained at very high levels in recent months.
