Rolling Stones fans may have had to wait 18 years for the band's latest album of new music – but the next one will arrive much sooner.
Frontman Mick Jagger has revealed that the band have already written three-quarters of the songs for a follow-up to Hackney Diamonds. The album, which features Elton John, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder, was a critical success when it was released in October.
As Jagger, 80, left, he said he regretted not “cracking the whip” to get it done sooner. It looks like he won't make the same mistake twice.

But after a news investigation last year accused the left-wing firebrand of rape and sexual assault, which he denies, it appears he may struggle to attract the same stars.
