A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a car Thursday night in Saint-Hubert, Montérégie.
The accident happened just after 8:30 p.m. at the corner of Cousineau Boulevard and Mountainview Boulevard.

The motorcyclist, in his 40s, was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, while the driver of the vehicle, also in his 40s, required treatment for nerve shock.
“Based on the initial reports and information on the ground, we had information that a third vehicle was involved in the seconds before the accident,” said François Boucher, spokesman for the Longueuil Agglomeration Police Department (SPAL).

The driver of this vehicle, in his 30s, has been arrested and faces dangerous driving charges. “He was received by investigators and later released,” Mr Boucher said.
The accident site was responsible for carrying out the analysis and appraising the sites. Investigators and reconstructionists were called to the scene to clarify the causes and circumstances of this accident.
“The exact circumstances of this accident have yet to be clarified,” concluded the SPAL spokesman.
