The attack allegedly occurred in an apartment on Avenue Gervais, near Boulevard Industriel, said SPVM spokeswoman Véronique Dubuc.
According to initial information, the victim had a conflict with a 38-year-old man who attacked her with a sharp object, but the 40-year-old managed to escape from her attacker.
