WWE could deliver their biggest show of the year with Money in the Bank 2023 when the pay-per-view takes place at the O2 Arena in London.
Audiences will be hot for some of the biggest games the company can deliver. With two Money in the Bank ranked matches, as well as Seth Rollins vs. Finn Bálor and The Bloodline Civil War, this event will have plenty to offer.
Good games are not enough to ensure that the Premium Live Event is unforgettable. It takes moments.
Respective favorites in the men’s and women’s MITB ranked games, Iyo Sky and LA Knight, could do more than win; You can also commit to a major character change. Damian Priest could take The Judgment Day in a new direction, and Drew McIntyre could return with great success.
These are the main names that could benefit from a big face or heel turn that would be in the talks on Saturday night.
LA Knight might be the most popular heel in WWE judging by the crowd’s cheers to him weekly.
The company can only wait a while before committing to The Megastar as more than just talkative sales, and Money in the Bank could be the perfect opportunity to do so.
Knight has already dealt with Logan Paul, who will be the most hated heel in the men’s ranked match. And if he manages to take down the YouTuber and snatch the briefcase, fans will give him all the more hugs on his way to the world title.
This is an inevitable step. Fans have embraced Knight almost at the level of a top name, and WWE won’t fully embrace that potential until he’s portrayed as a fan favorite.
The Judgment Day is one of the best stables in WWE, but the company has yet to fully commit to it. The entire group will be present at Money in the Bank.
While Dominik Mysterio hopes to gain some prestige by defeating Cody Rhodes and Finn Bálor sets his sights on Seth Rollins’ WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Damian Priest will be in contention for the men’s MITB briefcase.
Of the three men, The Archer of Infamy has the best odds of winning. If he does, it would separate him from the prince who has been trying to remain the dominant man in Judgment Day.
The stable will have one more chance to change and decide whether Bálor or Priest controls the faction. It seems likely that the group would go for The Prince.
Priest is ready to start his own business and succeed. He is a future world champion, but not as a substitute for Bálor and Dominik.
Drew McIntyre has not appeared on WWE television since WrestleMania 39, where he almost stole the show alongside Gunther and Sheamus.
It’s hard to imagine the Scot not appearing at the British show in some capacity, even though he’s currently unbooked.
However, McIntyre needs a change. He’s lost momentum in recent years and may need to embrace his darker side to be able to compete for world titles again.
After Seth Rollins defeated Finn Bálor, the two-time WWE Champion could make a phenomenal next man. The couple were so good together at Money in the Bank in 2020 without crowds due to the pandemic.
In front of a lively fan base, they could deliver the best match at SummerSlam on August 5th and help restore McIntyre’s aura as a title contender.
However, the Scottish warrior needs a heel to seal this moment and getting him on stage in front of a hot London crowd would be great.
Damage CTRL falls apart. Bayley’s crew was supposed to handle the women’s division, but WWE Booking never committed to it.
At this point, allowing Iyo Sky to become self-sufficient while Paragon finds new allies is the best option. To set the stage, the O2 Arena should be where The Genius of the Sky can leave the group.
According to BetOnline, Sky are the clear favorites to win the women’s Money in the Bank ladder game. If she does, there’s no way Bayley would take it with dignity.
Until Dakota Kai returns, Sky vs. Bayley is the perfect direction for the SmackDown women’s division. The Genius of Heaven can build on this rivalry until she’s ready to face Asuka for the WWE Women’s Title.
