The head coach of the University of Alabama football team, Nick Saban, has decided to retire.
The ESPN network said this on Wednesday. Everything was confirmed by the institution in the evening.

The 72-year-old is a true living NCAA legend, having won the national championship seven times.
Saban has been coaching since 1973. As head coach, he led the Toledo, Michigan State, LSU and Alabama programs.
The Virginia native has captained the Crimson Tide since 2007 and has led that team to six national titles (2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017 and 2020). He won his first championship with the LSU Tigers (2003).
Saban maintained an impressive 292-71-1 record in 28 NCAA campaigns.
In the NFL, Saban was head coach of the Miami Dolphins (2005-2006). He maintained a 15-17 record on the Goodell Tour and failed to make the playoffs.
