In 2003, the series NCIS was a real hit. With 21 seasons, it is one of the series that has survived over time despite some changes, such as the departure of some emblematic actors such as Michael Weatherly, who played Anthony DiNozzo until the 13th season, and Pauley Perrette, who played Abigail Sciuto until the fifteenth season Last, or Mark Harmon, the actor who played Gibbs, the leader of the NCIS team, until season 19. Mark Harmon saved NCIS by not leaving the show

If Mark Harmon left the series in the nineteenth season, he already wanted to do so in the previous season. Mark Harmon can play NCIS again if he wants

In May 2022, CBS Entertainment President Kelly Kahl spoke to TVLine and said: “Everyone knows that the door is open if they want to appear in one or more episodes.” But at the moment, that’s not news… However, Mark Harmon really enjoyed playing the character of Gibbs. “What always attracted me here was the character I was playing and keeping it fresh and challenging. As far as plot goes, this character took the path that he did. I thought it was honest and that was right,” he revealed. Mark Harmon has not appeared on any other television series since leaving NCIS. He devoted himself exclusively to his work as a producer. In addition to NCIS, he also produced the spin-off series NCIS: New Orleans.
