NFL: Commentator calls out Taylor Swift "Kelce's wife" and the fans react ge.globo.com

Musical superstar Taylor Swift has already become an attraction in her own right at Kansas City Chiefs games. When she's away from her tour, The Eras Tour, the singer never misses a game with her boyfriend Travis Kelce's team. But the status of the two's relationship has left some people confused.

This Sunday, during the broadcast of the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills, the cameras showed Swift in the box celebrating after a good game from her boyfriend. Tony Romo, former player and commentator for the American television network CBS, decided to comment and made a mistake.

And then we see Kelce's wife, Taylor Swift… Sorry, his girlfriend! said Romo.

Not yet! added the show's announcer Jim Nantz.

The comment sparked strange and fearful reactions from fans on social media. “Sorry, what??”, “Calm down Tony Romo, don't get married yet!”, “You're going to drive the Swifties crazy, Tony Romo” were some of the posts about the faux pas.

Travis Kelce was unlucky on the field. The Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Buffalo Bills 2017, their second loss in a row.

The Bills dominated the first half. The visitors opened the scoring with Josh Allen's 25yard touchdown pass to James Cook in the first quarter. In the second quarter, Allen scored the second touchdown with his legs, dragging the Chiefs defenders six yards into the end zone.

Kansas City eventually woke up with a 14point deficit. Patrick Mahomes led a nineplay, 52yard drive before halftime that was capped by Jerick McKinnon's sevenyard touchdown run.

The Bills started the third quarter with a 31yard field goal from Tyler Bass. But the Chiefs responded with another long touchdown drive, scored by a pass from Mahomes to Rashee Rice. The equalizer came with a 27yard field goal kick by Harrison Buttker at the start of the fourth quarter.

But Buffalo regained the lead with a 39yard field goal by Tyler Bass with 1:54 left. Kansas City tried to fight back and appeared to pull off an epic comeback when Kelce caught a 25yard pass from Mahomes and threw a cross pass to Kadarius Toney, who ran the rest of the way for a touchdown. But the game was nullified by a penalty committed by Toney, Mahomes subsequently threw three incomplete passes and the Bills walked away with the victory.

Kansas City now has eight wins and five losses, but is still in third place in the American Conference (AFC). Buffalo has seven wins and six losses and still has hopes of qualifying for the playoffs despite finishing 11th in the tiebreaker.
