The Jacksonville Jaguars almost suffered a major disappointment, but won their matchup against the New Orleans Saints by a score of 31-24 on Thursday night at Caesars Superdome.
With only 3:19 minutes left in the fourth quarter, Christian Kirk scored the decisive touchdown for the Jaguars (5-2). The latter received a pass from Trevor Lauwrence before sprinting 44 yards to reach the Saints (3-4) end zone.

However, the outcome of the meeting could have been very different. The Jags led 24-9 after three quarters of the game, experienced a big moment of hesitation and scored two touchdowns in quick succession, bringing the score to 24-24.
After a complicated start to the game, Saints quarterback Derek Carr recovered well and finished the game with 33 completed passes on 55 attempts and gained 301 yards. His counterpart, Trevor Lawrence, had 204 yards through the air with 20 successful passes on 29 attempts.
Jacksonville running back Travis Etienne Jr. had an outstanding game, scoring two touchdowns and 53 yards on 14 carries.
