So says Sportsnet hockey expert Elliotte Friedman. The 27-year-old hockey player, the son of former Montreal Canadiens player Claude Lemieux, has been completely free after inking a one-year, $1.35 million deal.

Brendan Lemieux was traded from the Los Angeles Kings to the Philadelphia Flyers in early March, sending Zack MacEwen to California. In 2022–2023, he received 74 penalty minutes in 45 games and scored nine points overall. The winger has served 484 minutes in prison since making his National League debut in 2017-2018.
