Nicki Minaj disappointed fans around the world with her latest Instagram announcement – the release date for her highly anticipated album Pink Friday 2 has been pushed back to November.
“Due to some really exciting news that I’ll share with you guys at a later date, I’ve pushed back the album date a bit,” the 40-year-old rapper wrote on her page.
Despite Pink Friday 2 not releasing until November 17, the Trinidadian-born rapper assured her followers that the wait was “worth it”.
Dressed in a wink of bubblegum pink and matching sky high heels, Nicki stared straight ahead at the photo she used for her Pink Friday 2 news.
The singer-songwriter made sure the image would not be used as the cover for Pink Friday 2.

Nicki’s last full studio album, Queen, was released in 2018 and the Anaconda singer released her debut greatest hits album in 2022.
Pink Friday 2 is a reference to their debut album, Pink Friday, released in 2010.
The picture Nicki posted to announce the album delay was actually an outfit worn by the Starships singer on her first album cover.
According to Billboard, Nicki is now considered the greatest female rapper of all time and has promised fans to share the cover art for her upcoming album at a later date.
Her first single from Pink Friday 2, Super Freaky Girl, debuted at number one on the Billboard Top 100 back in 2022.
While best known for her skills as a singer and rapper, the mother-of-one also has experience as an actress.
She voiced cartoon characters in the children’s films Ice Age: Continental Drift and The Angry Birds Movie 2. Nicki also had a supporting role in the Cameron Diaz-directed revenge romantic comedy The Other Woman in 2014.
Nicki recently collaborated with Ice Spice and Aqua on their latest single “Barbie World”, a new twist on the famous Barbie Girl track for the upcoming Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie.

The multitasking mom teased that, as she put it on Twitter in May, Pink Friday 2 would be a “boss kiss” album.
She responded to a fan’s tweet about how they felt the Pink Friday cover shoot was “legendary.”
“Imagine being a fashion icon before your debut album,” Nicki wrote, expressing her gratitude for her fans and her success.
“Imagine performing at Yankee Stadium with Ye & Jay, no album coming out, imagine Drake, Eminem, Rihanna, Ye, WillIAm and Natasha Bedingfield on your FIRST ALBUM,” she added.
In typical Nicki fashion, the Red Ruby Da Sleaze rapper added, ‘Bwahahaha I have to laugh.’ Blessings and thanks to my supporters.’
