The government of Venezuela reported that President Nicolás Maduro will not attend the VII Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) due to plans by the neo-fascist right against the delegation
Caracas, Venezuela. – The government of Venezuela reported that President Nicolás Maduro will not attend the VII Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) due to plans by the neo-fascist right against the delegation.
In a statement, the government condemned the plan to carry out a series of attacks against the Venezuelan delegation, which was to be led by Nicolás Maduro and will now be chaired by the foreign minister.
The Embassy reiterates that Foreign Minister Yván Gil has instructions to bring the voice of the people of Venezuela to the highest authority of CELAC and to conduct the necessary interactions with the delegations present.
The Venezuelan government stressed the importance of the VII Summit of Heads of State and Government of this bloc and thanked the Argentine President for the invitation and his position to guarantee the success of the meeting.
