Chalamet, who stars in Quebec director Denis Villeneuve's film Dune: Second Part – the two men will be in Montreal this Wednesday to promote it – says today that it's not entirely out of the question that she might one day be in to star in a film based on a comic book despite DiCaprio's advice.
“Well, Leonardo DiCaprio told me, 'No superhero movies, no hard drugs.' Which I found very good. I am [ses conseils] both! But the movie that got me into it was a superhero movie, The Dark Knight. If the script was great, if the director was great, I should think about it,” said the 28-year-old French-American actor.
Chalamet had already said in 2018 that “The Dark Knight” by Christopher Nolan had changed his life.

“When I was 12, after attending one of my sister Pauline's ballet performances, I asked my mother and grandmother to take me to see Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight,” Chalamet said. We went to the 7:30pm screening at the AMC Empire 25 in Times Square. I left the theater a changed person, and I mean it. “Heath Ledger’s performance in this film was emotional and viral for me, and now I had the acting bug.”
Chalamet then played a small supporting role under the direction of Christophe Nolan in his excellent film Interstellar. He played Matthew McConaughey's son.
