October 14 at Place des Arts: the cult film Dirty Dancing on stage – TVA Nouvelles

The cult film dirty dancingwhich conquered the planet in 1987 will be shown in a show version on October 14th at the Théâtre Maisonneuve on the Place des Arts.

The Dirty Dancing in concert tour is offered by Productions Martin Leclerc in association with GEA Live Karl Sydow and Lionsgate.

The Emile Ardolino film, starring Jennifer Gray and the late Patrick Swayze, has been remastered and will be shown on the big screen in its original version with French subtitles, while three singers and five musicians perform the songs live. Immediately after the screening, they offer a 25-minute concert in which they repeat some of the key pieces from the 1963 film, set in an affluent seaside town in the United States.

The film grossed more than $214 million worldwide at the time, according to Box Office Mojo.

Advance ticket sales will start on Thursday 15 June for subscribers to the Place des Arts and from Friday 16 June at 10am for the general public. All information is online.
