According to the Ukrainian president, over 200 Ukrainian soldiers and civilians have been released from Russian captivity.
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced their release on social media on Wednesday, releasing a video showing the newly freed hostages celebrating their return.
“Our people are at home. Today we returned over 200 warriors and civilians from Russian captivity.”

A total of 213 soldiers and non-commissioned officers and 11 officers were released from Russian captivity.
Six Ukrainian civilians were also returned home.

“Soldiers, non-commissioned officers and officers. Armed Forces, National Guard, Navy and Border Patrol,” the President continued. “Some of the defenders fought in Mariupol and Azov Valley. I thank everyone who, despite all the difficulties, is bringing our people home.”

“I am grateful to our defenders,” concluded Zelenskyy. “We are making every effort to bring back all our people who are still in Russian captivity.”

Zelensky has vowed that “Russia” will answer for the destruction and casualties in the ongoing invasion of Ukraine.
Russia fired hypersonic ballistic missiles at Ukraine's two largest cities on Tuesday morning, killing at least five people and wounding at least 130, officials said. The attack comes as Moscow's war nears its two-year milestone.

Zelensky said on the social media platform
“Currently 92 people have been reported injured. They all receive help. Unfortunately four people were killed. My condolences go out to their families and loved ones,” Zelensky said. The total number of fatalities has now been updated to five.
The barrage included “almost 100 rockets of various types,” Zelensky said, noting that at least 70 rockets were fired. “Everyone is given the help they need. I thank the employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the police officers, the doctors – everyone who helps people.”
