Owen Beck is suspended for the remainder of the OHL playoffs

Canada junior Owen Beck is suspended for the remainder of the OHL playoffs for stumbling on London Knights defenseman Jackson Edward on Friday night. This was announced by the Ontario junior circuit on Saturday afternoon.

The middle man’s dangerous move came 40 seconds from the end of Game 5 of the final between the Peterborough Petes (Becks Club) and the Knights. Beck subsequently received a severe penalty and was eliminated from the game.

This is the second time in the series that Beck has had an unfortunate contact.

Earlier in the series, the young man had also completed a very questionable check at the head of Denver Barkey. He had not been suspended but still received another heavy sentence. Check out this sequence below.

Peterborough currently leads the series 3-2.

Owen Beck has 16 points in 22 games.
