Mama June hugged Honey Boo Boo for the “first time” in about “five or six years” during a therapy session on a new emotional episode of Mama June: Family Crisis on Friday.
The 43-year-old TV personality has made it her goal to mend her fractured relationship with her daughters Alana “Honey Boo Boo,” 17, Lauryn “Pumpkin,” 23, and Jessica “Chubbs,” 26, over a family weekend with therapist Dr . to fix again. Isch.

He then asked Alana, “How much would it have meant to you if you could have held her.” [Mama June’s] Hand on the first day of school and she said, “I love you. Go in there and kick some ass now.”
After just a moment’s thought, Honey Boo Boo began to burst into tears, causing June to get emotional too. “I just feel like my mom should be at the prom.” And I feel like she should be at my prom.”
“And she should be there for the little moments at school like honor day or whatever, just the little high school activities that I have,” Alana continued. “Everyone at school says, ‘My mom, my mom, my mom,’ and I always have to say ‘my sister.’ ‘I don’t want to have to say that.’
“I want to be like, my mom did this, or my mom is doing this for me, or I’m going home to my mom today,” she concluded. Then Dr. Ish in and said, “See how this works?” Your daughters are crying. Now it’s time to comfort her, isn’t it?’
Then Mama June took Honey Boo Boo in a tight hug while her daughter rested her head on her mother’s shoulder to continue crying.
The episode then features a confessional where Honey Boo Boo confesses to viewers, “This is the first time in about — I’m not going to lie — probably about five or six years that Mommy’s actually really hugged me.”
“And it feels good to get a really loving hug from your mom. It felt really good. I won’t lie.’
She misses her mom: Alana said, “I just feel like my mom should be at my prom.” And I feel like she should be at my prom.
Tearfully, “Everybody at school says, ‘My mom, my mom, my mom.'” And I always have to say, ‘My sister.’ “I don’t want to have to say that,” explained Honey Boo Boo

After Mama June was arrested in 2019 and charged with illegal possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, Lauryn was granted interim custody of Honey Boo Boo and last year gained sole custody of the nearly 18-year-old.
“I lay in bed for hours and cried because I wanted to talk to all of you, because I missed you all, because I wanted that family back,” June explained, with Pumpkin expressing that she has her own family as well as “Priority”.

After Doe Doe left the retreat house, Mama June’s three daughters soon arrived and they all gathered in the kitchen around a spacious island for brief updates on their lives, such as Honey Boo Boo graduating from high school and expressed her dream of becoming a neonatal nurse.
Pumpkin then brought up the explosive meeting, where June admitted she knew her daughters were “hurt” by what she said.
