For the first time, a schoolgirl is seen who, as part of a planned assassination plot with a friend, shot her father before turning the gun on herself.
Emma Brown, 12, shot her father, Daniel Brown, 38, in the abdomen at their home in Poolville, Texas, about 30 miles from Fort Worth, on September 20, 2022. Emma shot herself in the head and died in hospital two days later.
Exclusive pictures from show the father, who survived, and his daughter posing smiling with a rifle and handguns ahead of the horrifying incident.
The seventh-grade student had plotted to kill her entire family and pets, as well as another 12-year-old girl from Lufkin, Texas. However, it is unclear how they met.
The Parker County District Attorney’s Office confirmed the second girl, who has not been identified, was charged with conspiracy to murder.

A spokeswoman could not provide details of the girl’s sentence because Texas law protects the identity of juveniles charged with a crime.
They added, “The charges have not been dismissed.”
A lawyer for the surviving girl did not respond to a request from for comment.
Brown died two days after shooting herself in the head. Police confirmed she had planned to drive 230 miles to pick up her boyfriend before continuing to Georgia.
A 911 call from the night of the incident shows Brown ran down the driveway on foot and only made it a few hundred yards before shooting herself in the head.
The EMS worker can be heard saying “the daughter just shot him” in the master bedroom after saying “nothing” and it was clear she had just gotten ready for bed.
Officers later discovered the student lying on the dirt road with a pistol under her body.
Apparently, the family home had put a gate at the front of the property and put up a “no trespassing” sign shortly after the tragedy.

Her father also has an FFL license, which means he can legally store and sell firearms in the family home.
Brown also went to a father-and-daughter dance at Peaster Elementary, where she was a student. However, it is unclear if she attended with her father.
Daniel was discharged from hospital shortly after the incident and is expected to make a full recovery, according to authorities.
Brown’s relatives did not respond to multiple requests for comment from .
The cause of Brown’s death was listed by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office as suicide, with the autopsy report sealed.
The Parker County Sheriff’s Office and Peaster Elementary did not respond to a request for comment from .
Peaster Mayor Don Smelly said he was “unable” to comment on the incident.
