Among the controversial topics Brandon, 26, and Dylan, 25 – Pamela’s two sons with Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, 60 – have offered their opinions on the 2022 Hulu miniseries Pam & Tommy, the impact of their late ’90s sex tape on her career, and how she felt she was not adequately compensated amid her popularity with Baywatch and other endeavors.

“Why bring up something from 20 years ago that you know screwed someone?” said Dylan. “The worst part of her life and turning it into a semi-comedy didn’t make sense.”

In the documentary, Brandon, who made headlines in 2018 amid a falling out with his father, said he wished his 55-year-old mother had “made the money” by agreeing to license the tape.

“She would have made millions of dollars just by signing a piece of paper,” Brandon said. “Instead, she sat back with nothing and watched her career evaporate. She was in debt most of her life.’

Dylan said he believes her life and career would have taken a different course “if she had made any money from the tape.”

He added: “It just shows you, right? That thing was guaranteed to make people millions of dollars, and she was like, “No.” She cares 100 percent about making sure her family is okay and I’m okay. Never cared about money.”

Speaking to Extra, Brandon said his mother was criminally underpaid during her time at Baywatch from 1992-1997.

“If I go back and even look at past deals and residual checks, people would be shocked to find out how people really took advantage of her … a young girl who took a bad deal on a big show, and she was too.” the biggest star of the time,’ he said.

He continued, “A lot of people have made a lot of money from this, people are going to have their day when we come knocking… if she’s making $4,000 a year off Baywatch? This is a crime.’

Brandon told E! News that he had “no idea” if his father had seen the doctor.

Dylan said of his mother’s multiple marriages in the document: “She loves to get married. Maybe her favorite thing in the world is to fall in love.”

He said that Lee was the “only person”. [he] considered a father figure’ and that ‘the others were just people coming in and out’.

Both Brandon and Dylan appear in the documentary, and Brandon was a producer.

Anderson told People at the doc’s Los Angeles premiere that her two sons were “a little emotional” when they saw the finished product.

“Brandon saw a lot of it,” Anderson said. “He’s been doing this for two years so it’s been a long process and as a mother you never want to burden your kids. But that was kind of a fun family project, but there was a lot of emotion involved.

Both the book Love, Pamela and the Netflix documentary Pamela: A Love Story are available now.
