The Brazilian has been battling colon cancer since 2021. After undergoing surgery to remove a tumour, the former Santos striker had a number of recurrences and was admitted to a hospital in Sao Pablo again a month ago.
His daughter Kelly Nascimiento was responsible for breaking the tragic news through his social networks: “We owe everything we are to you. we love you endlessly Rest in peace”.
