Mexican singer Ángela Aguilar is embroiled in a new controversy after sharing on her social networks his emotion for Argentina’s victory at the World Cup in Qatar after beating France on penalties.
Aguilar shared a photo on his Instagram account on Dec. 18 where he was wearing light blue pants and wrote about how happy it makes him that the Albiceleste became world champion.
“I can’t explain it to you because you won’t understand. 25% Argentina, 100% proud. Today we are all more heavenly than heaven‘ the Mexican singer wrote on Instagram.
This provoked negative comments from Aguilar’s followers, who called her a “hypocrite” as she claimed She was not supposed to celebrate as she was not an Argentine citizen.
Due to the controversy that arose, the singer’s father, Pepe Aguilar, said recently responded to negative comments about his daughter.
The regional music singer did a broadcast on his Instagram account, saying that his daughter has Argentine blood and that he shouldn’t pay attention to the negative comments from his haters.
“If he has Argentine blood, well what should he do?. All those haters who said I wasn’t Mexican, I called my mother names. I teach them all this wealth of Gueyes through Mexico,” commented Pepe Aguilar.
Additionally, Aguilar commented that all people are “children of God” and that anyone could be of whatever nationality they wanted.
“We are all children of God, we are all different versions of the same thing. Whether you feel Argentinian, Croatian, English, Russian or Mexican, we are children of God. We invented our limits,” the singer assured.
At the end of the broadcast Pepe Aguilar joked with his audience that he had a bit of “French blood”..
