Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg was arrested in London on Tuesday during a demonstration on the sidelines of an oil and gas conference, an AFP photographer noted.

Several hundred environmental protesters on Tuesday disrupted the first day of the Energy Intelligence Forum, an event bringing together senior oil and gas industry executives in London, and blocked entrances to the InterContinental hotel where it was being held.
The activist was arrested by two police officers in the middle of the day and taken to a police car.
