Federal agents arrested a Chicago woman Monday, accusing her of sending emails threatening to shoot former President Donald Trump and his son Barron, according to federal prosecutors and a recently unsealed criminal complaint.
According to the US Attorney’s Office in Chicago, Tracy Marie Fiorenza, 41, was arrested Monday morning on charges of transmitting death or injury threats.
The case was filed in the U.S. District Court in southern Florida earlier this month, but it wasn’t cleared until this week.
“I will declare that I will shoot Donald Trump Sr. AND Barron Trump squarely in the face at every opportunity I get!” Fiorenza said in a May 21 email that federal agents admitted to sending.
According to an affidavit accompanying the complaint, the letter was sent to the director of an educational facility in the Palm Beach, Florida area. Palm Beach is near Trump’s Mar-A-Lago home in Florida.

Fiorenza reportedly wrote a similar email on June 5, in which she said she was going to “put a bullet in” Barron Trump “along with his father IN SELF DEFENSE!”, according to the affidavit of a U.S. Secret Service agent.
A Facebook profile of Fiorenza contains several anti-Trump posts and posts promoting conspiracy theories about elite Hollywood pedophile rings.
Fiorenza once posted a cartoon meme of Trump in handcuffs with the caption, “I have a dream…”
Many of the posts also featured faces of the former president being hanged from a tree.
She also frequently uses social media to accuse Oprah Winfrey, former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, and music producer Calvin Harris of various crimes.
An Instagram post reiterates the often-debunked conspiracy theory that Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell and Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington – both confirmed to have died by suicide – were murdered.
On her Facebook wall, she posts several posts calling for the arrest of the former president and theories about the Illuminati.
The indictment did not identify the principal or the school to which the emails were allegedly sent.
It was not immediately clear if Fiorenza had an attorney who could speak on her behalf.

CBS News Chicago reported that Fiorenza made her first appearance in the US District Court in Chicago on Monday afternoon and a judge said she had to go to the Florida District Court to comment on the charges.
The judge will decide how to transfer her at a hearing on Wednesday.
Agents questioned Fiorenza on June 14 at the agency’s Chicago office — and she was shown copies of the emails, according to the affidavit. She admitted to sending the emails, agents said.
The affidavit states that Fiorenza resides in Plainfield, Illinois, a southwestern suburb of Chicago.
Political violence and threats have increased in the polarized United States in recent years. A Portal report released earlier this month showed the violence was at its worst since the 1970s.
