Not just Villa Crespi. If you want to eat well in Piedmont, here are some restaurants where you pay much less and whose quality is equal to that of the restaurant in Cannavacciuolo.
Villa Crespi, a name with guarantee, you could say. The famous restaurant of Antonino Cannavacciuolo attracts customers from all over Italy and beyond who are curious to try the cuisine of one of television’s most famous chefs.
But you pay for quality, and a lunch or dinner signed by the friendly Neapolitan gentle giant comes at a significant cost.
We are certainly talking about a rich and sophisticated location, quality ingredients and a menu designed and created by a multi-starred chef, but as they say in these cases: “You also pay for the experience”.
However, there are equally good but lesser-known restaurants in Piedmont that offer the same quality at a lower price. Let’s look at some of them.
Piedmont: not just Villa Crespi
Located on Lake Orta in the province of Novara, Villa Crespi is a dream location with a price that matches its prestige but that not everyone can afford. For example, the cost of the “Itinerario” tasting menu is 280 euros per person, while for “Put us your soul” you pay 20 euros more, i.e. 300 euros. For those who want to spend the next holidays in an exclusive place, the New Year’s Eve menu costs 450 euros per person.
Another excellent restaurant is definitely inferior. Compete with someone Antonino Cannavacciuolo it’s…himself. Yes, because the chef also owns the Bistrot Cannavacciuolo in Tornino. Quality is at home here, at a price of 120 euros for the I Classici tasting menu, ten euros more for the Questione di Moments menu.

The best restaurants at affordable prices
But there are also other star restaurants in Piedmont. For example, Condividere, a bohemian-style restaurant in Turin: one star, excellent menu. The prices of the menus vary between 90 for the Classics menu and 120 for the Gran Festival. In the first course we can taste dishes such as “Potato Bread and Anchovy Buttercream”, “Red Shrimp Mandala” and “Pluma Iberica Joselito with Garum” and finish with a dessert festival.
Also with a Michelin star we find the restaurant Spazio7, still in Turin, which offers a 5-course tasting menu for 110 euros in which we can taste dishes such as “char, parsley, spelled and lovage” or “butterflies, anchovies, Black cabbage and lemon”. The price for the 7-course menu is up to 130 euros. Then there are some other starred restaurants that offer quality at affordable prices, you are spoiled for choice.
