According to consistent sources, work to recover the bodies of the five victims of the December 1 plane crash and the aircraft wreckage should begin tomorrow at best, weather conditions permitting.
The sea was rough in the accident area today and the waves reached a height of 2.60 meters, making any operation difficult and even dangerous.
As a reminder, the aircraft was damaged at sea off the island of Terre-de-Haut, in the area most exposed to waves.
According to an aviation source, four investigators from the Bureau of Investigation and Analysis for Civil Aviation Safety (BEA aero) and two gendarmes from the Aviation Research Department arrived from Paris on Monday evening. The first are responsible for the technical and aeronautical parts; The latter took part in the judicial investigation carried out under the direction of the Basse-Terre public prosecutor’s office.
