Pooh Shiesty has been sentenced to 63 months in prison after pleading guilty to gun conspiracy charges.
On Wednesday (April 20), the Memphis rapper appeared in federal court in Miami and was told he faces the next five years and three months in prison. Pooh Shiesty, née Lontrell Williams, will be credited for the year he has already served, which could allow him to be discharged in three and a half years.
Pooh Shiesty’s charges stem from a shooting he was involved in that took place in Miami in October 2020, where the rapper was caught on camera during a shooting in the parking lot of an apartment complex. He was released on bail. But Pooh Shiesty was arrested again last June when he was accused of involvement in another shooting at a Miami strip club where he was performing. After the second arrest, the FBI charged him with the first shots and his sentence was commuted.
After initially pleading not guilty, the rapper changed his plea to guilty last October. Last December, Pooh Shiesty broke his silence from jail, sounding confident he would get a light sentence.
“I’ll be back in a minute, it won’t be long before I’m free. I LOVE ALL MY FANS AND THOSE WHO STILL SUPPORT ME 3, Still Poppin King Sh*t, Still Got My Way Like A King, Eat Like A King And Think Like A Winner, Nothing Has Changed But Like Mine clothes being washed and how the doors are locked…” he began.
Pu continued, “They think it’s Ova Wit for me that’s okay that’s cool but that’s just a quick message after those few words Hear it all… My shit public records Look for me on NO 5K1s NO RULE.” 35s RATS DON’T WALK IN MY BLOOD, WE PESTS!!…”
He closed the post and wrote: “Nigga I’m locked up but my mind is still free you can’t lock this up I’ve been through worse situations but I’m at my best right now it doesn’t get any bigger than I am BIGGEST.” BLRRRD💥 #FreeShiesty.”
