Presenter Raul Gil, 85, was admitted to the Albert Einstein Hospital in São Paulo’s South Zone on Monday (29). He underwent surgery on his prostate Tuesday morning (30) and is still recovering well.
According to information from SBT, the presenter suffered from prostate hyperplasia, also known as prostate scraping.
“Moderator Raul Gil was admitted to the Albert Einstein Hospital on Monday (29) to undergo prostate hyperplasia, also known as prostate scraping. The procedure was successful and he is recovering well, even today there is a possibility of discharge,” the broadcaster said in a statement.
