LA PAZ, Dec. 24 (Xinhua). Bolivian President Luis Arce urged his citizens to strengthen unity, ensure stability and keep working to rebuild the economy with social justice and a country free of racism, discrimination and exclusion.
In a message to the nation recorded hours before Christmas, Arce gave a brief assessment of management in 2022, with achievements in macroeconomics and poverty reduction, while reaffirming his commitment to continuing on the path of economic growth and industrialization.
“Let’s love our country, let’s provide stability, certainty and hope that it took so much to recover. Let us unite and unite to rebuild the economy on the path of growth with social justice and on the path of dignity and a country free from racism, discrimination, exclusion and all forms of violence,” said the President.
He recalled that this year international organizations such as the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (Cepal) indicated that Bolivia will be the country that will reduce poverty the most in the region.
“That makes us happy, but it also drives us to get even more involved because we have a lot to do,” he said.
In addition, the President continued: “We have also progressed in the industrialization process with import substitution with important successful measures, we have increased our agricultural productivity to supply the markets with food. We work tirelessly for security with food sovereignty and promote great prosperity “that our mother earth gives us”.
Arce alluded to the social and political conflicts the country has experienced so far this year and called for unity.
“We are a hardworking people who want to live in peace and tranquility, we are a people who want prosperity and development, we are a people who want to build a better future for everyone. I’m sending you a big hug home and happy holidays,” he said at the end of his Christmas message.
