President Díaz Canel embarks on a tour of several Caribbean countries

The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, this Saturday began a tour of several Caribbean countries that will include official visits to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Barbados and Grenada.

Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, accompanied by the Vice President of the Republic Salvador Valdés Mesa, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz and the Minister of the Interior, Major General Lázaro Álvarez Casas, all members of the Politburo, met him at the airport. .

The program to be completed by the Cuban President also includes his participation in the VIII CARICOM-Cuba Summit, which will be held in Barbados.

This tour represents an opportunity to further strengthen the bonds of friendship with the sister nations of the Caribbean and to promote cooperation in various areas.

The Cuban delegation consists of Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla; the Ministers Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, José Ángel Portal Miranda, Elba Rosa Pérez Montoya and the President of Biocubafarma, Eduardo Martínez Díaz, among other officials.
