According to doctor Roberto Kalil Filho, the surgical procedures went without any complications. The president has already woken up and is recovering well without needing to go to the intensive care unit.

President Lula da Silva underwent surgery to implant a hip prosthesis, while another procedure also removed excess skin from his eyelids.

These operations are classified as total arthroplasty of the right hip joint, involving the prosthesis in the region, and also as blepharoplasty, a procedure in which the wrinkled skin of the eyelids is removed.
