Prince Harry: "I want my father and my brother back"

“I want my father back, I want my brother back.”

Those are the words of Prince Harry in the trailer for an interview to be aired next Sunday, two days before the release of his autobiography Spare in the eponymous preview of the interview with Tom Bradby broadcaster British ITV, the Duke says from Sussex “They have shown no willingness to reconcile”although it is not clear who he means.

It seems clear that tensions between Prince Harry and his family will not ease with the New Year.

The youngest son of King Charles III. of the United Kingdom and Princess Diana of Wales gave two interviews – one with journalist Anderson Cooper for the 60 Minutes program on US channel CBS and the aforementioned with ITV channel – in which he loaded ink against his family for the treatment of his personal decisions.

In the CBS trailer, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex claimed that was the case betrayed by his family.who he says remain silent in public but speak ill of him on condition of anonymity.

Buckingham Palace declined to comment on the matter.

When asked by Cooper about the criticism he has received for his decision to move to California and leave his institutional role “so publicly”, Prince Harry replied:

“Every time I tried to make it private, it was like this Briefings, leaks and stories against me and my wife. The family motto is ‘never complain, never explain’, but it’s just a motto.”

The journalist pointed out that “there are many complaints and explanations” and the Duke of Sussex insisted: “And leaks.”

“They will either provide information or have a conversation with a correspondent and that correspondent will literally get the information on a record and write the story and at the end they will say they contacted Buckingham Palace and received no comment,” he said .

“But really the whole story is statements from Buckingham Palace,” he added.

“So when we’re told, as we’ve been for the last six years, ‘we can’t make a statement to protect you,’ but you’re doing it for other family members, there comes a point where Silence is treason“.

Prince Harry

Prince Harry said his family betrayed him.

The ITV interview preview references Harry’s relationship with his immediate family and there he mentions his desire to get his father and brother back.

ITV reported that his interview, conducted by Tom Bradby, would cover Prince Harry’s personal relationships “Details never heard before” about the death of his mother Lady Di.

Filmed in California, where he lives with wife Meghan Markle, speaking to ITV will also see the Duke address “the leaks and the planting” of stories before adding: “I want a family, not an institution”.

“They think it’s better to kind of see us as villains,” he said.

“In the Shadow”

Prince Harry’s autobiography is said to contain details of disagreements with his brother Prince William.

Editor Penguin Random House described it as “a landmark publication filled with insight, revelation, self-examination and hard-won wisdom about love’s eternal power over pain.”

The book follows the release of the Netflix documentary Harry and Meghan, in which the prince said it was “terrifying” that his brother “screamed and screamed” during a meeting about the couple’s future in the royal family discuss.

Buckingham Palace declined to comment on the claims made on that show.

The Sussexes also opened up about why they decided to step down from royal duties and move to America, criticizing the British press and the inner workings of the royal institution.

We had Oprah Winfrey.

Then it was Netflix.

Now we have Tom Bradby and Anderson Cooper.

The new ITV and CBS trailers show the two amazing TV interviews Prince Harry gave ahead of the release of his book Spare.

The issues discussed are mostly what we’ve heard from Harry and Meghan so far: an institution that failed to support them, a family rift that proved difficult to mend, and “media rigging” by Buckingham Palace.

The difference this time could lie in the two people conducting the interviews.

So far the story has been from Harry and Meghan’s perspective.

They shared their sadness and frustration.

Without commentary on Buckingham Palace, it’s difficult to present a different side of the story.

But both Tom Bradby and Anderson Cooper are respected journalists.

It’s hard to imagine that they wouldn’t want this to be the most challenging and haunting conversation with Prince Harry compared to anything we’ve heard so far.

We’ll know for sure next Sunday.
