When the television was on in the dorms, we had to explain to several people that no, the presenters were not seeing the viewers in their living rooms. Nowadays it's a fear that seems very far-fetched to all of us, but back then… so we shouldn't be surprised that with the arrival of QUB on television there were viewers who had to explain the magic of QUB on radio.
Using his QUB microphone, Richard Martineau transformed himself into a teacher to explain in detail what happens in a radio studio.
“A listener tells me that I look at my cell phone during interviews,” the moderator explained. She thinks I’m not listening to the speakers and staff.”
And that's not the charming listener's only observation. Obviously her questions are legitimate given the novelty, but there is no doubt that Richard Martineau leaves her with the wrong impression.
