Quebec workers are still the happiest in the country

According to ADP Canada’s Happiness at Work Index, Quebecers would be the happiest workers in Canada. The index also shows that Canadian worker satisfaction would increase in the month of May.

According to this monthly barometer released on Wednesday, workers in Quebec and Atlantic Canada scored 7/10, up 0.4 compared to April.

“May data is showing an upward trend for most indicators — which is encouraging as we approach the summer months and second half of the year,” said Heather Haslam, vice president and president of marketing, ADP Canada.

In contrast, workers in Alberta saw their job satisfaction fall 0.4 to 6.5/10, as did workers in Saskatchewan and Manitoba after a 0.4 increase in May.

While Baby Boomers top the rankings with a national average score of 7.2/10, up 0.1 in May, Gen Z rose +0.5 to a score of 6 over the same period, 9/10

Thus, the primary indicator of job satisfaction would have increased by 0.1 to 6.9, while 44% of workers in the country would be satisfied with their current role and responsibilities at work, according to the report highlights. Job Satisfaction Index.

“While Baby Boomers remain the happiest generation at work, this month we’re seeing significant improvements among Millennials and Gen Z,” noted Heather Haslam.
