Rachel Zegler and Hunter Schafer radiate joy as they hold hands as they reunite on the red carpet for the NYC premiere of The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes

Rachel Zegler and Hunter Schafer both looked like incredibly glamorous leading ladies as they arrived at the New York premiere of their upcoming film “Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” on Wednesday.

When the co-stars met for a special screening of their highly anticipated film, which hits theaters on November 17, the duo beamed with joy as they mingled and held hands while photographers snapped their photo on the red made carpet.

For the occasion, 22-year-old Zegler, who portrays Lucy Gray Baird in the prequel to the original Hunger Games trilogy, wore a strapless blue dress and black heels.

Meanwhile, Schafer, 24, looked leggy in a thigh-length floral dress, which she paired with white pumps and slicked her hair back into a sleek updo.

During a conversation with People earlier this month, Rachel shared that she was a big fan of the series and recalled the first time she saw The Hunger Games.

“I went to the theater with my sister and my mother to see it,” she remembers. “The woman next to my sister had never read the books or seen the movie before, and when the mutts came out she started screaming, ‘What’s going to happen next?’

“And it’s forever etched in my memory,” she said of the experience and the film. She then added, regarding the prequel, “I hope people in our theaters do the same.”
