Daniel Danese, brother of Regis Danese, recounted moments of panic during the car accident he suffered with the singer on Wednesday (30). The incident occurred in Jaraguá, a town inland from Goiás. The artist is admitted to the intensive care unit (intensive care unit) after suffering two perforations in his intestines. “I thought we were going to die,” the family member said.
The singer’s brother spoke this Thursday (31) with the team of the program A Tarde É Sua on RedeTV! Daniel was in the passenger seat during the accident and was uninjured. “I think the truck threw it at us. I thought we were going to die, the blow was very strong,” he described.
The brother helped Regis, the driver of the vehicle, get out of the car. “I was afraid the car would catch fire,” he admitted. When the rescue team arrived, the singer only felt pain.
“He was in shock, all bloody, he wasn’t even in pain at that point continued. According to the Federal Highway Police, Regis crossed into the oncoming lane and crashed into a truck.
The singer underwent surgery in the early hours of this Thursday. Kelly Danese, Regis’ wife, said his condition was not serious. “He is doing very well, he is in intensive care because he underwent an operation in which he perforated two parts of his intestine. The operation was very quick,” she said on her Instagram.
If Regis remains stable, he can leave the hospital within 72 hours. “He has three broken ribs and a broken left arm, but he will have arm surgery later,” Kelly said.
