This assessment was expressed by the top leader of the PCV when he received this Monday his counterpart from the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (PPRL), Thongloun Sisoulith, in a high-level bilateral meeting where he highlighted a number of important points to strengthen relations between the two neighboring organizations and nations in the times to come.
The interlocutors briefed each other on the situation of each political force and country, including party structure, socio-economic development and the global and regional situation, and assessed the cooperation between the PCV and the PPRL.
They also expressed satisfaction with the good progress of bilateral coordination, particularly reflected in the political, defense, economic, cultural, educational and scientific fields, and congratulated on the important and comprehensive achievements both in the work of national construction and of national development.
Both sides, the Voice of Vietnam reported, emphasized the existing historical tradition of relations and mutual support, and reiterated that Vietnam-Laos relations represent an invaluable treasure of the two peoples, a necessary goal, a historical rule and the greatest strength of both. parties and countries.
For his part, Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith emphasized the importance and strategic importance of these ties for the security and development of each country, as well as for peace, stability and development in the region and the world.
Also speaking at the meeting were the Prime Ministers of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh and Laos Sonexay Siphandone, who highly appreciated the results of bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, investment, culture, education, science, technology, defense and security.
The leaders agreed to point out that in the current situation, both parties and countries must continue to promote solid traditional ties, strengthen solidarity and closer coordination, support each other and further deepen political relations.
They also stressed the importance of making the established cooperation mechanisms more effective in order to improve them while establishing new ones that will enable further strengthening of bilateral relations and the practical interests of the two peoples for the benefit of peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
