While originally slated for a 2021 release pending the announcement of an indefinite postponement, Resident Evil Re:Verse could be back in talks very soon.
A release this year?
Though Capcom has been very quiet about it for many months, Resident Evil Re:Verse has only recently resurfaced through its Stadia version. In fact, as Gematsu announces through its Twitter account, this version has just benefited from the “PEGI 18” mention by the European classification authority, while the versions for PC, PS4 and Xbox One had already benefited from the same fate a year ago.
Although no exact release date has yet been given, as we’ll just have to settle for “this year”, the fact that a work is examined by a classification body generally means that it has been presented with a version that is nearing final completion . The commercialization of the work in question usually takes place in the weeks or months that follow.

As a reminder, Resident Evil Re: Verse was originally intended to function as a standalone multiplayer Resident Evil: Village, so it will release on the same date. Re:Verse should therefore feature clashes of four to six players, each able to choose their hero’s identity from a selection of the saga’s most emblematic protagonists and compete in no less iconic locations.
According to the information revealed during the first stages of testing, with each death your character will turn into a terrible monster so that you can take revenge on your executioner.
