REVEALED: A chilling voicemail was left for a GOP lawmaker’s wife about Jim Jordan’s speaker vote

The wife of a Republican lawmaker who voted against Rep. Jim Jordan’s bid for House Speaker was left a chilling voicemail message.

After Republican Kevin McCarthy was ousted in a historic vote on October 3, there was a dispute over who should lead the House.

Jordan voted on his candidacy on Tuesday, and a second vote followed on Wednesday in which he received even fewer votes than the first. Some MPs who did not vote for him received angry messages from voters, including some death threats.

CNN received a vile voicemail in which the caller said: “You will not be left alone because of your damn husband,” the caller threatened. “Jim Jordan or more conservative, otherwise you’ll be harassed like you can’t imagine.”

The House of Representatives is currently led by interim Speaker Patrick McHenry, who has little power to introduce legislation in the House and has reportedly threatened to resign.

The threatening voicemail to the wife of an unnamed Republican who voted against Rep. Jordan was shared by CNN.

“Why is your husband such a pig?” said the caller. “Why would he go on TV and make a fool of himself?” Because he’s a deep state guy?

“Because he doesn’t represent the people? So what we’re going to do is follow you everywhere.’

He added: “We’re going to fuck you non-stop.” We’re Antifa now. We’re going to do what the left does because your damn girlfriend on TV says, “Oh, the bad guys, they did something like that.” I have to vote for Kevin McCarthy,” a piece of shit everyone knows.

“So, fuck you, fuck your husband, and we’ll – we’re not like the left.” We’re not violent. But we will follow you to every appointment, to everything you fucking do.

“Your husband is an idiot.” You should fucking talk to his stupid ass. We are at war. Israelis are being killed.

“And your stupid husband is acting like a shitty two-year-old?” No wonder. He’s a fucking warmongering piece of shit.’

The caller said, “So listen, you will continue to receive calls and emails.” I’m now putting all your information on the Internet. Everyone else is.

“And you won’t be left alone because of your damn husband.” Jim Jordan or more conservative, otherwise you’ll be fucking harassed like you can’t imagine.

“And non-violent again. You won’t go to the beauty salon. “You’ll have to be damned to marry such a damn ugly mother.”

Nebraska Rep. Don Bacon previously said his wife received anonymous text messages threatening him unless he voted for Jordan. Bacon said Jordan had no chance in future votes.

While Republican Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks of Iowa, who voted against Jim Jordan for speaker, says she has received “credible death threats.”

This came after Jordan canceled a third speaker vote following his crushing defeat on Wednesday and there were signs he would lose the support of his GOP colleagues.

He remains a Republican candidate for speaker, buying himself more time to win over skeptical colleagues.

Acting Speaker McHenry told his GOP colleagues he could resign if Republicans forced him to push through legislation expanding his powers without a vote, according to several lawmakers.

“If you try this, you’ll find out who the next person on Kevin’s list is,” he told NBC News, according to three sources.

McHenry made the comment in closed session Thursday, citing McCarthy’s secret list of GOP officials who would serve as interim speakers during a vacancy.

He doesn’t want to set a precedent that would give future temporary speakers the full power of elected speakers.

A Republican lawmaker interpreted McHenry’s comments as a direct threat to resign and said he had made the same suggestion to other people.

While a second Republican said the interim speaker made the remarks “tongue in cheek.”

Jordan will not cast a third vote for speaker and will push for a resolution to temporarily authorize interim Speaker Patrick McHenry, giving him more time to try to secure votes

Jordan, who lost votes in his first two bids, will now hand the gavel back to McCarthy’s ally McHenry to temporarily end the stalemate that has paralyzed Congress for 15 days.

McHenry would serve as caretaker until feuding House Republicans can find a solution to clean up the chaos that has gripped the party since McCarthy’s ouster two weeks ago

But the move would allow McHenry to delay legislation such as spending bills and support for Israel within a month until the government shuts down again.

The resolution must be voted on in the House of Representatives and requires Democratic support.

McHenry has always denied any interest in taking on the speaker role long-term.

He told reporters Thursday: “I’m focused on electing Jim Jordan, the candidate for speaker, as speaker of the House.”

‘That is my goal. That is my goal.’
